West African Drum Class
The African Drum Class will give the students a unique opportunity to learn to play traditional base rhythms of two types of African Drums, The D’jembe and the D’jun. To have a deep understanding of polyrhythmic music, we must understand where the rhythm’s base structure lies. The hand drum parts are all molded around the rhythm’s base structure. The students will learn to play a range of traditional West African rhythms in a structured and continuous setting.
